Vaughn Hunter has been a licensed insurance agent since 1949. He established Hunter Insurance in 1992, has been a citizen lobbyist for citizen and insurance issues for 10 years and was named Pennsylvania Crop Insurance Agent of the Year in 2007.

Lori joined Hunter Insurance in 2013. She has been in the insurance industry for 16 years. Lori is a customer service representative specializing in crop insurance.
Lori enjoys camping, hiking, four wheeling, and all other kinds of outdoor fun with her two boys.
Patton Office:
Michael Gause, Vice President, Agent
Before joining Hunter Insurance, Michael was in charge of the agricultural division at the Fred H. Sharbaugh Agency (part of the Best Group) beginning in 1995. There, he managed client visitation as well as handling property, casualty and crop insurance.
Michael joined Hunter Insurance during the winter of 2005. He is currently vice president and oversees customer service and the day-to-day operation of the Carlisle and Patton offices. Michael’s expertise is in risk evaluation, selling property and casualty insurance, which includes commercial, residential and agricultural. He is also certified to sell crop insurance.
Michael graduated from Penn Cambria High School and attended Duquesne University. He lives in Cambria County where he is a member of the Rotary. Michael also belongs to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He enjoys being active and volunteering in local food and clothing drives. Michael has been in the insurance industry for 21 years.
Michael Hainsey, Agent
Mike is an active agent in the Claysburg and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. He is licensed to underwrite property and casualty as well as life, accident and health coverage. His expertise is primarily in personal and commercial insurance as well as motorcycle, farm, home, business, recreational vehicles – let’s just say Michael can do it all.
Before joining Hunter in 2005, Michael was an associate with independent agencies in Ebensburg and Claysburg, PA. He is involved with Sons of American Legion, Shriners International, F&AM of PA, Legion Riders and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Joyce Caretti, Agent
Joyce joined Hunter Insurance in 2005. She is a licensed property and casualty agent whose expertise includes bonds as well as life and accident & health coverage. Joyce also handles customer service and accounting duties for the agency. She also specializes in personal insurance lines including home, auto and umbrella liability.
Prior to joining Hunter, Joyce was an associate with the former Cowher, Nehrig & Co. Insurance Agency. There, she worked in the finance department and became a licensed agent more than 30 years ago as well as general manager in 1995.
She is involved in the community and serves as treasurer for the local chapter of the Salvation Army. Joyce is also an active member of the Friends of Patton Library, also serving as treasurer. She was also a member of the former local Chamber of Commerce.
Andrew Gause, Agent
Andrew joined Hunter Insurance Associates in 2012. He is licensed in property and casualty, crop insurance, along with life and annuities. Andrew helps with customer service and specializes in personal insurance lines including home, auto and life insurance.
Andrew graduated from Cambria Heights ’09 and Saint Francis University ’13. He is involved in the community and serves as a Football Coach for Cambria Heights School District.
